The Union Education Ministry ratified the need to conduct a fresh round of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance-Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) for all 24 Lakh candidates, subject to directives of the Supreme Court verdict to go ahead.
Reportedly, The Union Education Ministry are open to organising a retest for all 24 lakh NEET UG aspirants if the apex court gives their consent for a retest for all, as reported by The New Indian Express.

Meanwhile, NTA will conduct the NEET 2024 re-exam for 1563 students on June 23, 2024, who had experienced time loss during the originally scheduled examination on May 5, 2024, and were awarded compensatory grace marks. The NEET results 2024 for 1563 candidates will be announced by June 30, 2024.

CBI Visits Bihar EOU Offices, Takes Over 5 NEET Cases Across 3 States
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special teams tasked to investigate irregularities in the NEET-UG exam for entrance to medical colleges visited the offices of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar police in Patna and Gujarat police in Panchmahal district to collected evidence from the local police.The federal agency, which filed a first information report (FIR) in NEET-UG irregularities on Sunday after a complaint from the education ministry, also took over five cases registered by the police in Bihar, Gujarat and Rajasthan in the alleged malpractices in the exam.

“Taking into consideration the recent allegations regarding the integrity of certain competitive examinations, the Ministry of Health has decided to undertake a thorough assessment of the robustness of processes of the NEET-PG Entrance Examination, conducted by the National Board of Examination for medical students,” the ministry said.
