Telecom main Bharti Airtel on Thursday introduced that it has acquired a strategic stake in Aqilliz, a Blockchain-as-a-service firm. Airtel goals to deploy Aqilliz’s blockchain applied sciences at scale throughout its fast-growing adtech (Airtel Advertisements), digital leisure (Wynk Music and Airtel Xstream), and digital market (Airtel Thanks App) choices.
“Bharti Airtel has acquired a strategic stake in Aqilliz –a Blockchain-as-a-service firm underneath the Airtel Startup Accelerator Program, topic to relevant statutory approvals,” the corporate stated in an announcement. It didn’t expose the monetary particulars of the deal.
Singapore-based Aqilliz has developed a patented hybrid blockchain platform, Atom, that integrates differential privateness and federated studying on a distributed digital ledger. This enables manufacturers to create safe and consent-based options to have interaction with clients in a rapidly-evolving digital economic system that is turning into more and more decentralised, the assertion added.
